Imo Transition Technical Committee Give Reasons For Extending Deadline For Submission Of Memoranda

Popular demand by the public especially Imo citizens who have shown enthusiasm and impressive response to an earlier call by the Imo State Transition Technical Committee are some of the reasons which compelled the committee to extend the deadline for submission of memoranda from the public.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mazi Chinedu Okpareke,Secretary of the committee.

The statement titled extension of deadline for submission of Memoranda reads:

“The Imo State Transition Technical Committee has extended the deadline for the submission of memoranda by the public.The new deadline is Friday, 26th April, 2019.

“This development is as a result of popular demand by the public especially Imo citizens who have indeed shown enthusiasm and impressive response to the earlier call for memoranda from the public.

“The Governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha had recently, in keeping with his campaign promise of ‘establishing a transparent and accountable government that is responsive to the needs of the citizens of our State, and committed to implementing a policy agenda that provides a steep change in the livelihood of our people’, inaugurated a Transition Technical Committee to aid a smooth handover from the Owelle Rochas Okorocha administration, and chart a course for the successful take-off of the incoming government.

“To ensure the development of a robust plan for the State, the committee, through a well publisized senzitization in  the media, called for memoranda from the general public, and particularly, Imo State citizens who may have information, ideas, and solutions relevant to the aforementioned areas. 

“Kindly note that all memoranda remain private and will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

“The public are advised to send in their contributions and submissions through the details as earlier published – email to: memorandum@imottc.org or through upload at www.imottc.org or through drop-off at: Imo TTC Secretariat, No 18 Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Avenue, New Owerri, Owerri Imo State.

“Kindly note that the memorandum should be submitted in PDF format and organized in the following structure: – Name of Specific matter of interest, e.g. roads, healthcare, education, etc.- Introduction and background- Details on the Issues/Problems- Revelations or Findings or Considerations- Recommendations/Way Forward- Proposed Quick Wins.
