His lordshipJustice Okon Abang is the new Presiding Judge that will look into the matter between Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Okorocha had gone to Court to challenge the commission to release his Certificate of Return after winning the Imo West Senatorial Election.
INEC withheld the Certificate of Return on the grounds that Okorocha was declared winner of the polls under duress.
His lordship Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja had withdrawn from the case after a petition by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Hon.Jones Onyeriri seeking transfer of the matter.
Justice Taiwo had said that the matter will be reassigned to another Judge.
The matter is expected to come up on April 18, 2019.
