The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State has congratulated Rt Hon.Emeka Ihedioha and Gerard Irona on their successful inauguration as Governor and Deputy Governor of Imo State.
A Statement signed by Chairman of the Union, Chief Chris Akaraonye and Secretary, Juliet Dim reads:
“The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Imo state heartily congratulate your excellency Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha (CON) (KSC) on your most deserved victory in March 9, Governorship election in Imo state and your successful inauguration.
“Winning the most keenly and intensely contested guber election in the recent history of Imo state signifies the eloquence, integrity and general acceptance and divine providence associated with your candidature.
” NUJ also congratulates the deputy governor Hon. Engr. Gerald Irona for the resounding victory and inuaguration.
Your execelency, we are not surprised judging by your track record of superlative performance in the National Assembly for twelve memorable years and your decent and consistent political character.
“The NUJ Imo state council has been proud of our exemplary relationship with you over the years as a fundamental benefactor of journalists and trusting that the best would be experienced in the days ahead under your governorship of the state.
NUJ has no doubt that your execellency will by virtue of your profound experience in administration and politics run an all inclusive and dynamic government to facilitate the rebuilding of Imo state which is your wish.
