Hon.Acho Ihim has quit as Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly.
The House Majority leader, Hon.Lugard Osuji also tendered his resignation.
Their resignation came barely 9 days to the inauguration of the 9th Imo Assembly.
The Deputy Speaker, Hon.Ugonna Ozuruigbo, had already resigned as Deputy Speaker of the House during the turbulence that engulfed it.
21 members of the House had suspended the Speaker.
Hon.Lawman Duruji now leads the House as Speaker.
