Hon.Ugonna Ozuruigbo, member elect representing Nwangele, Nkwerre/ Isu federal Constituency in the 9th incoming House of Representatives, has been sacked by a Federal High Court in Owerri.

Ozuruigbo was immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly. He had resigned after an internal crisis led to the suspension of the Speaker, Acho Ihim by aggrieved members.

His sack came barely two weeks another APC federal lawmaker from Imo State, Hon.Chike Okafor was also removed by the courts.

In his judgement, Justice P.A Rigime ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to the issue a Certificate of Return to Kingsley Echendu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Judge also declared that Harrison Nwadike who is the plaintiff, was the rightful winner of the All Progressive Congress, APC primary election in the Federal Constituency.

It would be recalled that Ozuruigbo’s nomination as candidate of the party was challenged by Mr.Nwadike.

He had prayed the court to declare him as the rightful APC candidate as he stated that the issue of automatic ticket was unknown to the Constitution.
