Frontline politician and a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Owerri Municipal, High Chief Emma. J.J.Okereke (Igodo) has commended the Imo State Governor, Hon.Emeka Ihedioha for appointing Hon.Uche Onyeagocha and Barr Chris Okewulonu, as Secretary to Imo State Government and Chief of Staff respectively.
In a statement in Owerri, Igodo described Onyeagocha as competent for the job having proved his mettle during his days as member representing Owerri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives where he gave the people effective representation.
He said Onyeagocha is a true son of Owerri son of Owerri federal Constituency who has demonstrated an unrelenting determination to stand for justice and truth at all times.
He said Onyeagocha is a round peg in a round role and fit for the position of SSG.
He said the former federal lawmaker has the capacity to function as SSG and posses the ability to ensure the realisation of the Rebuild Imo Agenda of Governor Ihedioha.
On the appointment of Barr. Okewulonu as Chief of Staff to the Governor, Igodo who served in Achike Udenwa’s administration as Senior Special Assistant said Okewulonu had proved his mettle as former SSG during Udenwa’s administration where he showed competence and capacity as a seasoned administrator with the midas touch to deliver.
He said Governor Ihedioha made a wise choice on his recent appointments which demonstrates his commitment to move Imo State forward and actualize his rebuild Imo Agenda.
Igodo called on the people of Owerri municipal to embrace the present administration in the State, stating that Governor Ihedioha has the capacity to restore Imo State on the path of progress and development.
He added that Owerri people stand to benefit immensely from the new government, urging them not to waver in their support for the new Governor of the State.
