Ihedioha Repositions Crisis Ridden, Corruption Infested Imo Transport Company

Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State has inaugurated a commitee to turn around the Imo Transport Company, ITC.

The Company had been embedded in wave of corruption and crisis during the last administration.

An Interim management Commitee to reposition the Transport Company was inaugurated on Monday at Cabinet office, Owerri  by Secretary to the State Government, Hon.Uche Onyeagucha.

According to Onyeaguocha, the committee Members were charged to “develop an implementable framework to reposition ITC for optimal service delivery and profitability, ensure that all existing leasing and franchise agreement obligations are met.

“Review all existing contractual concessionary agreement and advice on way forward, ensure that salaries of workers are paid regularly, receive and manage all acruable revenues to ITC and government”.

The Commitee members were charged to discharge their assigned duty with human face to lift ITC and meet goals, as well as add to the rebuilding of the state.

Chairman of the Commitee, Sir Emeka Aririguzo, pledged that they will not disappoint. He thanked Governor, Emeka Ihedioha for finding them worthy to serve in that capacity.
