After Sworn In As Senator, Okorocha Speaks On Marginalisation Of South East In NASS

Former Governor of Imo State and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has been sworn in after a long drawn battle that surrounded his issuance of Certificate of Return by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC

In a statement by his media Adviser, Sam Onwuemedo, he said the contentious issue of Igbos in the choice of principal officers of the National Assembly “is that both the questions and answers about what the issue is all about, lie with the Igbos themselves”

He said he will continue to take serious exception of politics of vindictiveness, clannishness, bitterness, hatred, and do or die.

According to the statement, the former Governor said he was sworn in as the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly by the clerk of the senate, Chief Nelson Ayewoh.

” The former Governor and now a distinguished senator, had also signed all.necessary documents requiring his signature.

Okorocha received his Certificate of Return as Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district on Tuesday from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC which has remained contentious for months.
