Stop Wailing, Return State Govt Property, SSG, Onyeagocha Tells Okorocha

Secretary to Imo State Government, Hon.Uche Onyeagocha has reacted to claims made by former Governor of the State, Rochas Okorocha, that officials of the State Government had deployed thugs to harass his wife and children.

Okorocha had made the allegations last week.

But Onyeagocha in a statement by Mac Enwerem, his media assistant, advised the former Governor to stop wailing and rather understand that there is a Task Force saddled with the responsibility of recovering stolen government vehicles in the State

The statement reads

“We have noted with concern the statement recently credited to the former Governor of the State, Chief Ethelbert Okorocha wherein he accused the Secretary to the State Government, Rt. Hon. Barr. Uche Onyeagucha of using thugs to harass and abuse his family members.

“As usual, we won’t condescend so low by joining issues with Chief Ethelbert Okorocha on his moonlight tale, rather we shall limit our response on the substance of the matter at stake by educating and furnishing him with necessary information as regards to the recovery of government vehicles. We know he is confused and acting out of ignorance, that’s why he has resorted to cheap blackmail and crocodile outbursts.

“However, we wish to let Chief Okorocha understand that there is a taskforce saddled with the responsibility of recovering stolen government vehicles in the State. The taskforce has been carrying out this assignment in an orderly manner with the help of security agents.

“So, Chief Okorocha’s diversionary gimmicks will not distract the State Government from recovering all government properties stolen by him and members of his family. It is too early for him to wail. Rather than panicking, blackmailing and dropping the name of the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Okorocha should behave honourably by returning all government vehicles in his possession.

“It is really unfortunate that after stealing government properties and looting the State dry, Chief Ethelbert Okorocha can still have the temerity to open his mouth so wide to say that himself, wife and children have not committed any crime.

“We advise him to hide his face in shame and stop further disgracing himself.

Signed
Prince MacDonald Enwere
S.A. (Media) to the SSG.
