Ihedioha Speaks On Okorocha’s Probe

BY EJIKEME NNOROM, with Agency Report

Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has said the ongoing probe of his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, is not a witch hunt.

He spoke to journalists in Yola, Adamawa State where he visited his Adamawa State counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri, over the death of his father.

He said Nigerians should not see the probe of Okorocha as witch hunt noting that the outcome of the probe report and ongoing investigation was necessary to make Imo State better.

He denied reports in the media that he said the State Government has recovered N1.2bn and some properties from the outgone Rochas Okorocha administration.

He said such statement never emanated from him.

“I don’t think I said all those things. Because I m not witch hunting the former Governor

“There was a Commitee that we set up that is doing all those things.

“The findings of the Commitee have not been made known to me. Obviously, this (probe) is to make Imo State better”
