It was jubilation in Owerri as women of Ndom Umuororonjo in Owerri Municipal honoured the wife of the Chairman, Interim Management Committee of the Municipality, Mrs.Joy Chukwuemeka.
Hundreds of women defied the rain to come out enmasse for the event which was marked with various activities including cup presentation and award of honour
Among dignitaries who witnessed the event include wife of the member representing Owerri Municipal State Constituency, Mrs.Doris Anukam Solomon, Chairman, Owerri North, Hon.Solomon Onwuegbuchunam, PDP Chairman, Owerri Municipal, Engr.Okechukwu Oprah, members of the Council namely Hon.Lady Vero Anwuzie, Hon.M.C Uwalaka and others.
Mrs. Chukwuemeka expressed delight with the decoration by the women of Umuororonjo community.
The event was as colourful which was in line with the celebration of 2019 August meeting.
