South East Governors have been advised to intervene in the lingering face off between Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha and and former Governor Rochas Okorocha
Ihedioha had ordered citizens arrest on Okorocha after thugs attacked Special Assistant on Security and Chairman Movable Assets Recovery Commitee, Mr.Jasper Ndubuaku at Okorocha’s Spilbat mansion in Owerri.
The Recovery Commitee Chairman said he had a court order to storm Okorocha’s house to recover stolen government properties.
President General of Ohaneze Youths, Mr.Okechukwu Isiguzo said there is need for the South East Governors to intervene in the ongoing face off.
His statement came on the heels of Okorocha’s comment that he will return to the State when he wants to.
“We call for the immediate intervention of South East Governors and Igbo leaders as we ask Imo State religious leaders, traditional rulers, State House of Assembly to join Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Youth Council worldwide to intervene.
He urged former Governor Okorocha “to stay away from the State at the moment until the dust settles”
He said “we will not allow any South East State to be under the control of a sole administrator under state of emergency”
