Imo State Commissioner of Information, Barr.Felix Ebeliekwe has advised Imolites to be patient with Governor Emeka Ihedioha led administration as the Governor is committed to render good leadership to rebuild the State for the good of all citizens.
Barr Ebiliekwe made the appeal during a familiarization meeting with newsmen in Owerri, on Saturday.
He urged them to continue to support the Rebuild Imo Project because “in less than no time we all will start to experience the positive effect of the Rebuild Imo Project in all sectors of the state including the media”.
Ebiliekwe added that Governor Emeka Ihedioha has achieved goodies for the state especially the payment of 100% salary to civil servants which he said began on August 1st, 2019, stating that the feat was in fulfilment of his election manifesto to Imo workers.
Describing the Governor as a technocrat who knows the onus of good leadership having been tested and trusted, Ebiliekwe explained that the PDP led government in Imo State is running “a balanced and all inclusive appointment which is gender, zonal, religion, age, state and federal constituency friendly”.
The Commissioner affirmed that Ihedioha started on a good note with the appointment of a transition technical committee, interim management committee in the 27 local government areas and other government establishments including the assemblage of professionals, technocrats, ethical managers as commissioners, a move he stated is a show of class, excellence and responsibility.
Ebiliekwe who thanked journalists for attending the parley, appealed to them to continue to project the activities of the government in positive light, saying any journalist who does well in the profession is bound for handsome reward.
