The Forum of Imo-Based Newspaper Editors (FINE) has commended the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for appointing a worthy Imo son, Chief Emeka Nwajiuba, Minister for Education, State.


In a release signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Forum, Comrade Eze Adiuku and Elder Chigozie Uzosike respectively, it noted that the forum has no doubt that Chief Emeka Nwajiuba having done well in TETFUND, will indeed bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new office.


The Editors described the former Member House of Representatives, Nwajiuba as a man of large heart of knowledge who likes working with his team to achieve result in whatever office he finds himself, adding that his sense of openness and love for education will impact on the Ministry’s policy of enhancing education in line with the President’s policy of qualitative education.


The release reads in part “the appointment of Nwajiuba as Minister for Education (State) is indeed a square peg in square hole and we know that he will not disappoint the President and Nigerians as the knowledge and skills to deliver are already imbued”.


The Editors however assured the Minister of the Forum’s partnership to further the policies of the President and they expressed confidence that Nwajiuba’s vast knowledge will help to address the concrete concerns and challenges bedevilling the sector.
