Ngige Speaks On IPOB, Igbo Presidency

Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr.Chris Ngige has spoken on the activities of Indigenous People of Biafra and the quest for an Igbo to produce Nigeria’s President in 2023.

Reacting to reports that IPOB members threatened to disgrace South East politicians whenever they are sighted outside the country, Ngige said members of the group will do him no harm because he protected their interests when was Governor of Anambra State.

“IPOB was registered by the Late President General of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Dr. Dozie Ikedife and other Igbo as a non violent group.

“What is going on now in the group is not part of the plan. I visited the U.S recently and I was welcomed by IPOB members

“They knew I fed and protected them while I was in office as Governor. I have said several times that Biafra cannot be achieved that way.

The Minister spoke on the quest of Igbo produce to Nigeria’s President in 2023.

“The Igbo should stop shouting Marginalization. They should stand up and assert themselves to be counted. Nigeria belongs to all of us.

He continued “Equity favours the Igbo to produce the next President of the country, but they must work hard and position themselves for it.

” We should stop political sentiments. Politicians don’t give power based on sentiment and emotion. President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is favourable to an Igbo President.

“We must support him and associate with the APC.Nobody will give you President in your bedroom.
