State Chairmen of the All Progressive Congress, APC, are aggrieved over what they described as poor reward system in the party.

The Chairmen rose from a meeting held in Abuja where they lamented that founders of the party who laboured to get victory for the party at various levels have been ignored while those it tagged as “outsiders” are reaping where they did not sow.

According to a communique after the meeting, the Chairmen said noted that chieftains of the party have been confronted with shame, dejection and humiliation of various degrees, stating that the entire party structure has been neglected.

The communique was endorsed by Chairman and Secretary of the Forum, Ali Bukar Bolari and Ben Nwoye, who are Chairman and Secretary of the forum respectively.

They said the State Chairmen who are the custodians of the party in their respective States, were completely ignored in respect of federal appointments.

The blamed the national party secretariat for their woes, saying the immediate past Secretary of the party, should be liasing with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) in the constitution of boards and Parastatals, lamenting that the National Secretary of the party has left after he emerged Governor of Yobe State.

They stated they had met and chosen an open letter because previous entreaties to the Progressive Governor’s Forum, and the leadership of the National Assembly had failed.

“Those who spearheaded the fight against the party, frustrated the State Executives of the party in their modest efforts to secure electoral victories for the President and the party at all levels are being daily patronised and rewarded with political appointments in an APC led government.

” We observe with utter disgust and amazement the neglect of our various election petitions in various tribunals throughout the States in terms of litigation support and case management

“Each petitioner is left to beat his/her cross. The party must rise up to its responsibilities to show some concerns on what is happening to APC election Tribunal petitions.
