The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said it will proceed in its bid to retrieve Certificate of Return it issued to Senator Rochas Okorocha, as Senator representing Imo West Senatorial zone.

INEC Chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu, said it will appeal the judgement of a Federal High Court on Imo West Senatorial election with a view to recovering the Certificate of Return it issued to the ex governor.

The INEC boss said if Okorocha’s case is left unchallenged in Court, “politicians will not longer mobilise voters or even buy votes during any election but will prefer to buy guns and move to Coalition centres and get declarations.

Speaking to media executives in Abuja, he said it would pursue Okorocha’s matter up to the Supreme Court.

On the November 16 governorship election in Bayelsa and Logo States, he said ” I don’t see how logistics can mar the elections in Bayelsa and Kogi to the extent that we have to postpone
