The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has reserved judgment on the outcome of the March 9 governorship election in the State as it relates to petitions filed by governorship candidates of the Action Alliance, AA, Uche Nwosu, All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Hope Uzodinma, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Senator Ifeanyi Arararume, challenging the verdict of the Imo State Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed Governor Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as duly elected Governor of the State.
The Court adopted the addresses of those involved in the case and will communicate a date for ruling to all parties.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Hon.Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP winner of the March 9 governorship election in Imo State.
The State Election Petition Tribunal had also upheld Governor Emeka Ihedioha’s victory, dismissing the petition of the petitioners for lack of merit.
