Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, will soon unveil his fresh appointees after the Imo State House of Assembly approved the request of the Governor to appoint 12 Special Advisers.

The appointments is coming amidst complaints from loyalists of former Governor Rochas Okorocha and other power blocs in Imo APC, who fear total dominance of Uzodinma’s political structure, CAMP HOPE, in the new administration.

Despite Governor Uzodinma’s assurance that he will carry all along, there are feelers that members of his structure will corner most of the appointments.

This newspaper had reported that Gov Uzodinma had been under pressure to constitute a government that will accommodate several power blocs and interest groups within the family of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the State.

The power blocs include Camp Hope which is the Governor political structure, Rescue Mission group made up of loyalists of former Governor Rochas Okorocha and Uche Nwosu, Imo APC Coalition , and Destiny Organization loyal to Senator Ifeanyi Araraume.

Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, had last week appealed to Governor Uzodinma to accommodate his “boys” in his administration.

Eyebrows were raised when Uzodinma had on assumption of office turned down pleas made by suspended local government chairmen in the State to be reinstated. They were elected during Okorocha’s reign but suspended by ousted Governor Emeka Ihedioha.

He rather assured that Council elections will hold soon, directing Directors of Administration and General Services, DAGS, to take charge of the 27 local government councils.

It has been observed lately that despite Governor Uzodinma’s assurance that everyone in the APC family will be carried along, there have been complains by those in Okorocha’s group that they are being left behind in the new appointments

Some of them who spoke on condition of anonmity confirmed that at the moment there is no synergy between the power blocs and splinter groups in Imo APC.

One of them said “There is no co-ordination. All the groups are still holding separate and individual meetings. But we remain hopeful that things will be sorted out very soon. This victory is not for a particular group. It is for all APC members in Imo State. We were united in the quest to remove the PDP government. The spoils of victory should go round
