The Imo state government has presented brand new vehicles to eighteen permanent secretaries in the state ministries to boost their productivity and efficiency.
Governor Hope Uzodinma made the presentation at the Government House Owerri in line with his promise made during an official visit to state secretariat.
According to Governor Uzodinma, a car loan programme will be worked out for senior civil servants including a housing scheme that will ensure that workers benefit.
He noted that the state government will work out a staff mass transit programme for junior workers in the service to ensure that junior workers are picked and dropped at designated locations.
Governor Uzodinma charged them to be responsive, dedicated to duty and not to condone indulgence and in efficiency in their respective ministries.
Responding the Head of Service, Dr. Camilus Iwuagwu expressed gratitude to God and equally thanked Governor Uzodinma for providing the vehicles to permanent secretaries.
He promised the Governor of their loyalty, commitment and increase in productivity to raise the revenue of the state.
