The Presbyterian Church Of Nigeria, Owerri Presbytery Holds Her Opening Ceremony, Feb 15

All is set for the 2020 Owerri Presbytery Opening Ceremony of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Imo State.


In a release issued by the Secretary of the Planning Committee, Elder Chigozie Patrick Uzosike, the Convener of the ceremony, Rev. Dr G.S Adaka noted that the event which will take place on Saturday, 15th February at Owerri Parish, Aladinma, Owerri will set in motion every other ecclesiastical activities of the church within the bounds of the presbytery.


He said that the Theme of the Ceremony which is in line with the theme the General Assembly of the church is Arise & Shine (Isa 60:1), adding that Prof. O. C. Onwudike, Vice Chancellor of Rhema University will be the keynote Address Speaker. Rev Adaka hinted that apart from the Ministers, Session Members/Elders, Presbytery Arms Exco and Board Officers, parishes who will attend the event, personalities of repute have been penciled down for award presentation.


The Owerri Presbytery Moderator and Clerk of Presbytery, Rev. Clement N. Obasi and Rev. David Ama respectively have assured members of the church, guests and visitors of spiritually packaged ceremony like never before that will impact on their spiritual lives and propagate the Gospel of Christ, especially that the event is one of the biggest events of the Presbytery which has Owerri, Uratta, Alaenyi, Uturu, Naze, Okigwe and Orlu Parishes with many congregations, outreaches and missions stations.


The Convener, Rev. Dr Adaka urged all and sundry not to miss the ceremony as it promises to be memorable. He commended the Planning Committee Members for their devotion and dedication towards the ceremony.
