Eminent Nigerians were in attendance at Ihitte Uboma local government area of Imo State where the remains of Late Senator Benjamin Uwajumuogu was interred.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma renamed the State owned College of Education, Ihitte Uboma to Benjamin Uwajumuogu College of Education.

Those who attended the funeral include Senate President, Ahmed Lawan,Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege and more than 30 senators.

Others are Minister of Science and Technology, Dr.Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State, Mines, Uche Ogah

former Governors Ikedi Ohakim, Rochas Okorocha were also in attendance. Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume were at the event.

The All Progressive Congress, APC was well represented at the funeral.

Those in attendance include Emma Eneukwu, George Moghalu, Marcon Nlemigbo, Emma Ibediro and others

Deputy Governor of Imo State, Dr.Placid Ekwueme, Secretary to State Government, Maurice Iwu were not left out.
