The Peoples Democratic Party PDP says it has several grounds upon which it is relying to “retrieve” it’s mandate in Imo State

The party is at the Supreme Court where it’s candidate in the March 9 governorship election, Emeka Ihedioha, instituted a review application, praying the apex court to set aside it’s judgement of January 14 which sacked him as Imo State Governor.

Secondus who spoke to newsmen in Abuja, insisted that the apex court Justices were misled by Senator Hope Uzodinma and the All Progressive Congress, APC

He said the party is confident and hopeful that the Supreme Court would review and reverse the judgement which declared Hope Uzodinma as rightful Governor of Imo State.

Secondus said “If the lies told at the Supreme Court are allowed to stay, then the total number of votes cast at the election will be more than the total number of votes accredited for the election. This cannot stay. We do not need to set a bad precedent.

He said the APC and Senator Uzodinma misled the Supreme Court to believe that 213,495 votes were unlawfully excluded from the votes scored in the March 9 2019 governorship election.

” The number of voters accredited for the election was 823,743 while the total valid votes cast was 731, 485

” Therefore, the inclusion of 213,695 votes for both the APC and Uzodinma would make the number of votes more than the number of voters for the election

The Supreme Court had on February 18 adjourned hearing on the review application filed by Ihedioha to March 2nd.
