Orluzurumee Youths have commended Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, for exhibiting “moral strength to keep away, as far as possible, Chief Rochas Okorocha who was the person that wrecked Imo beyond imagination”
The group in a statement signed by Comrade Ozokwere Galore, Spokesperson, BOT, commended “Governor Uzodinma for hearkening to our advice and distancing himself completely from Chief Okorocha”
Part of the statement reads
“We recall with great agony that there is absolutely nothing today in Orlu zone that shows that Okorocha governed Imo for eight years. Even the private university he built for himself has become a source of sorrow to the people of his hometown, Ogboko, whose ancestral lands were confiscated without compensation for a school which they cannot afford to send their children.
“The worst road infrastructure anywhere in Nigeria is found in Orlu zone. There is hardly any road that is motorable today, and all the local governments in the zone are now inaccessible and are like a maze of antinomies because of bad roads.
“These constitute some of the reasons we had initiated his recall from the Senate which was frustrated by the INEC after being heavily compromised. We only let the dust rest after the intervention by some respected Orlu elders and leaders.
“It is therefore commendable that Gov Uzodinma understands the enormity of the task ahead and has set out to do it. This is why he deserves every necessary support from Ndimo in order to succeed” the statement concluded
