The Imo Good Governance Advocacy, IGAC has kicked against Governor Hope Uzodinma 100 days in office, accusing the Governor of taking the state back-wards.

In a statement in Owerri signed by the Group’s President, Aririguzo Emmanuel Lucky, and Secretary, Dr. Chukwuma Anyanwu, IGAC said Governor Uzodinma has taken Imo state backwards by owing workers salaries and non payment of pensions to pensioners.

The group also wondered why a covid 19 patient in the state would be treated at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, wondering what has become of the Isolation Centre, the state government claimed to have put in place.

“The Imo State government should rather explain to Imolites what happened to millions of tax payers money spent on non -existent isolation centre for covid 19 patients in Imo State” the statement stated.

The Group also expressed worry why the present administration in the State has not been able to pay salaries after receiving three months allocation.

IGAC recalled claims made by the National President, National Union of Local Government Employees, that LGA funds in Imo State are being diverted.

The group demanded for the Governor’s resignation and an unreserved apology from him and the APC led state government, expressing concern that developmental projects embarked on by the outgone administration of Emeka Ihedioha have been abandoned by the present administration.

It described the media attacks on former Secretary to the Government of the State, Hon Uche Onyeagocha,  as diversionary to divert the attention of the people from the inadequacies of the present government.

The group advised the government to retrace its steps “to avoid the wrath of God and the people falling on them”
