Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has tested negative to the dreaded contagious coronavirus.
Two state Governors had tested positive to the virus last month. They are Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State. The duo had recovered from the ailment and now tested negative.
There were concerns on the covid 19 status of APC State Governors after they reportedly held a meeting with President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who is undergoing treatment after testing positive to the virus.
Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba, was quoted in a statement to have said a test conducted on the governor confirms that Mr Uzodinma has not contracted the virus.
According to him, “the result of a test conducted on him came out this morning and confirmed that he is free of the virus,” Emelumba said.
