2023: Drop Presidential Bid For Igbo Presidency, Group Tells Tinubu, Others

The Nigeria Unity Forum, NUF, has called on National leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, other Western and Northern politicians reportedly eying the Presidency, to drop their ambition, and support an Igbo for the Presidency in 2023.

A statement by the pan Nigeria group endorsed by it’s Secretary General, Digifa Gabriel, said it would amount to indifference and insentivity to the feelings of Ndi Igbo who have not tasted the position if Tinubu and other non Igbo continue to aspire for the Presidency in 2023.

It advised political parties to resort to zoning the Presidency in 2023 and called on stakeholders in the country to ensure justice and equity by conceding the presidency to the region.

In his contribution, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo said much as it’s concern is on restructuring of the country, an Igbo should rightly succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Spokesman of the pan Igbo socio cultural organization, Chuks Ibegbu said this is important for equity and justice.
