Imo Foundation Unveils Co Joined Twins Who Lost Mum After Delivery

The Imo Foundation has unveiled two co joined twins who lost their mother after delivery.

The Foundation also appealed for support from members of the public to aid the survival of the two co joined twins.

This was disclosed by the Director General of Imo Foundation, Hon.Mrs.Beluah Chukwuma in Owerri.

The Imo Foundation is the humanitarian agency of the Imo State government.

Speaking to newsmen on assumption of office as DG of the foundation, Mrs Chukwuma said a huge amount of money is needed for the surgery of the co joined twins.

She said “We are working hard to separate them and we are reaching out to ensure that the surgery is done to enable them to have a better life.

“The State government has been supportive, but we need to reach out to Organizations, good spirited individuals to come to our aid to support the efforts of the State government.

She however expressed optimism that the Foundation will succeed in it’s efforts with the collective support of NGOs and well meaning individuals.

She commended Governor Hope Uzodinma for considering her worthy to head the Foundation, assuring that she will to live up to expectations.
