Members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Imo State, have been advised to not to accept ” Greek gifts” in the name of palliatives by former governorship candidate of the party, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume

Imo State Chairman of APGA, John Iwuala in a statement in Owerri, said Senator Araraume is no longer a member of APGA in the State.

“No APGA member followed him to join the APC except a few members of his Destiny Organization; while a good number of the Destiny Organization insisted to remain with APGA, saying that they were tired of moving from one party to another”

Iwuala advised party members not to be “decieved by their Greek gifts under the guise of palliatives in this period of Covid 19 pandemic for members of our party

He directed that “no APGA ward or LGA Chairman should forward the list of members of the party to Senator Araraume or his agents, privy or co travellers under the guise of Palliatives to alleviate the challenges occasioned by the lockdown in this period of coronavirus pandemic”

Mr.Iwuala recalled that “It is in the public domain that Senator Ifeanyi Araraume was expelled from APGA on the 11th January, 2020 by the State Exco, while he quickly back dated his resignation letter from the party to 15th January and submitted same on 28th January 2020”

He further explained that the Senator’s move to the APC was “aired on some television stations and widely carried by various social media platforms”

” The question now is:since the distinguished senator left APGA, what business does he have with the party again to call for such a list without recourse to the State and LGA leadership of the party officially?

“Why all these backyard movements and arrangements?

“Did he forget anything in the party”

“Why can’t he understand that his exit from APGA bought heavy jubilations across the State? Why can’t he understand that APGA is stronger now as many that left the party because of him have since started returning” he stated

He advised APGA members not to be lured or decieved by the Greek gift of Covid 19 Palliatives.
