Two Die After Drug Consumption In Imo

The Imo State Police Command, Owerri, has identified two bodies, male and female, who were found dead at Room 19 Vic- Lodge, Ihiagwa, on the outskirts of the Imo State capital.

The Police in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, PPRO,SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, Sunday identified the bodies as one Cynthia Obieshi (female) and Samuel Osuji (male)

According to the statement, on 14/06/2020, acting on a report, operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters, Nekede/Ihiagwa Division, moved to the lodge situated around JMJ Bus stop, and forced their way into the room to find the two lifeless bodies.

 The cause of their death could not be ascertained, but the Police statement stated ,that Cynthia visited her boyfriend, Samuel on 13/06/2020 and spent the night but unfortunately none of them woke up the next morning.

 The Police said according to its preliminary investigations, the deceased persons may have died of drug consumption.

Their corpses have been deposited in the mortuary, the statement stated
