The home of former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, may have become ‘mecca” for past and present Governors of Imo State.
Since Kalu regained his freedom from the Nigeria Correction Centre on the orders of Federal High Court, Abuja, three former Governors of Imo State, and the incumbent, have visited Kalu who also doubles as the Chief Whip of the Senate.
Since Kalu was released, he has received high profile Nigerians who have come to “sympathize”with him after he was released from the Nigeria Correction Centre.
Among those who had visited the former Abia State Governor include Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker House of Representatives, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, incumbent and former Governors, Ministers, Senators, National and state leaders of All Progressives Congress among others.
Kalu has however received more visitors from Imo State.
The former Governor has hosted three former Governors of Imo State, and the incumbent.
Former Governor Rochas Okorocha and his wife had visited Kalu at his Abuja home shortly after his release.
Governor Hope Uzodinma followed suit recently, and barely 48 hours after Uzodinma’s visit, two former Governors of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim and Emeka Ihedioha also visited the Igbere born politician.
