The Chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Imo State, Mr. John Iwuala, says the party is the first political party in the state, to give relief materials to indigent people of the state since the outbreak of covid 19 in the state.

“APGA is ready to feed the poorest of the poor in the state who are always neglected by the government” he said

The Chairman who made the disclosure while speaking to APGA Covid 19 Palliative Committee members at its state secretariat, Owerri, said the party is ready to relieve indigent citizens of Imo State of hunger because of the  coronavirus pandemic.

He maintained that the palliative food item be distributed exclusively to indigent people in the State which would relieved them from biting hunger for some days or weeks.

 The party chairman charged the Committee to continue to work out modalities set out for it to ensure the poorest in the State do benefit from the palliatives.

He eulogized the party’s National Chairman, Barr Victor Ozumkpu Oye and members of the party in Diaspora for donating the palliatives, revealing that the party is renewing in strength with the reconciliation of its members in Diaspora.

The Chairman expressed confidence that the party will win Okigwe senate seat because the party’s candidate, Attorney Charles Onyirimba, is the candidate to beat.

The APGA Publicity Secretary, Hon Emeka Nkwoada, thanked members of the Committee for their efforts thus so far.
