The last may have not been heard on the trickling effects of the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, on the Imo state chapter of the party and the unfolding drama that has followed suit.

Oshiomole was instrumental to the coming on board of the State Caretaker Committee led by Marcellinus Nlemigbo in 2018, and backed by Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Oshiomole’s suspension and claims by Victor Giadom who has claimed chairmanship of the party seems to be favouring the Imo APC faction led by Dan Nwafor known to be loyal to former Governor Rochas Okorocha.

But their joy may be short-lived as the National Working Committee, NWC has directed National Vice Chairman (South), Hilliard Eta, to act for former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, who is indisposed to take over the affairs of the party due to ill health.

Eta had appointed Governor Hope Uzodinma, as Chairman, Edo State APC Governorship primary election committee. However party chieftains maintain that Oshiomole’s suspension will alter nothing in Imo APC, since the Eta led NWC, is favourable to Uzodinma, who is behind the Nlemigbo caretaker committee.
