Its a waiting game or temporary ceasefire for the Reform and Advancement Party, RAP, its governorship candidate, Okere Kingdom, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Governor Hope Uzodinma, as the Federal High Court, Abuja adjourned to September 29, 2020, for further hearing on a suit filed by RAP.

RAP had approached the Court to seek judicial interpretation to ascertain if the All Progressive Congress, APC, sponsored Senator Hope Uzodinma as its governorship candidate in the 2019 governorship election in Imo State.

At resumed hearing of the matter on Monday, July 20, the PDP was admitted as an interested entity in the matter.

The ongoing legal fireworks has generated ripples in political circles in the State. The adjournment till September 29 is expected to afford all contending parties some time to prepare and fortify their cases.

Governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, AA, Uche Nwosu had denied involvement in the matter. He rather advised Governor Hope Uzodinma to unite the APC, stating that he will never be party to plans by non members of the APC to oust his partyman, Governor Hope Uzodinma.
