APC Clears Araraume For Okigwe Senate Contest

BY RAYMOND OPARA

Senator Ifeanyi Araraume seems to be energized for the race for Okigwe senate seat after the All Progressive Congress, APC, granted him waiver to partake in the polls.

Araraume had fled the APC for the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in 2019, where he vied for the governorship election. He emerged the governorship candidate of the party, placing third in the guber contest.

After failing to win the governorship election,he returned to the APC, where he has joined the race for Okigwe senatorial seat left vacant after the demise of Senator Benjamin Uwajumuogu.

With the waiver granted Araraume by the Caretaker Committee of the party, the Senator is all clear to vie for the senate seat on the platform of the party.

The Senator is adjudged a leading contender in the race.
