Ex Reps Speaker, Yakubu Dogara Returns To APC, Quits PDP

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hom. Yakubu Dogara, has decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

APC Acting Chairman, Mai Mala Buni, made the revelation when he spoke to Channels Tv.

Buni and Dogara were reported to have met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja

Dogara, according to the report, will address the public later on the development.

The former Speaker who was an APC member had defected to the PDP during the 2019 general elections.

The former speaker had recently headed a screening panel of the PDP primary for the Ondo State governorship election and it is unclear why he is leaving the opposition party he joined in September 2018.
