Veteran Journalist, Columnist and Public Affairs Commentator, Sir Collins Ughalaa, was on Saturday, July 11, 2020, investitured into the Order of the Knighthood of St. Christopher, by The Rt. Rev Chijioke Otti, the Bishop of the Diocese on the Lake.
Speaking at the investiture which held at the Cathedral Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Oguta, Bishop Otti called on the new Knights to see their investiture into the Order as an opportunity to serve God, stressing that they should not be found wanting in character and service to God and humanity.
The Bishop said that the Knights of St. Christopher were carriers of Christ and urged the new Knights to work toward spreading the gospel of Christ and strengthening the Church.
Delivering a sermon at the investiture, Rev. Sunday Iheruo, said that God was looking for men who would serve him. According to him, God was not looking for any kind of man, but people with courage, wisdom, and who would serve him in spirit and truth.
Rev. Iheruo said that God was not looking for men who would be bench warmers in the Church, but those who would give their life to Him and and serve Him with all their heart.
Speaking to Journalists after the investiture, Sir Collins Ughalaa expressed happiness over the investiture, noting that it was a call to do more in the service of God and humanity.
According to him, there is so much to do in the vineyard of God, even as he advised his Brother Knights investitured on Saturday to see the investiture into the Order as a call to do more in serving God and humanity and not as a reward for any work done already.
