Contrary to reports that he has a preferred choice among aspirants vying for the the ticket of the All Progressive Congress, for Okigwe senate bye election, Governor Hope Uzodinma, has said he has no such choice.
“I have no candidate. I will be neutral. Whoever emerges the candidate of the APC will get my support to win the election. I will not force any candidate on the party. If we fail to have a consensus candidate, we will hold primary.
“We want to conduct a popular primary to enable us have a popular candidate. If your people do not like you, there is point coming out. We want to conduct a popular primary” he said in a short video that went viral on the internet on Tuesday.
He said as leader of the party in the State, it is his duty to provide an enabling environment for the party primary to be held.
