Okigwe Senate Bye Election: APC To Screen 13 Aspirants, PDP Clears Two For Party Primary

The All Progressive Congress, APC has commenced screening of 13  aspirants vying for Okigwe senate bye election.

The party had constituted a seven man screening committee headed by Dr. Lawrence Chukwu.  It also set up a Screening Appeal Committee led by Prof Etok Ekanem.

For the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reports say the screening committee dispatched by the National Working Committee, NWC has concluded its screening exercise.

Two aspirants purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, sources say

They are Hon. Patrick Ndubueze and Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu.

The trio are vying to emerge the flagbearer of he party for the Okigwe senate bye election.

Primary to elect the party’s flagbearer takes place on September 5, 2020.
