“Defection, A Political Earthquake in Imo ’, Says Commissioner Njoku

Widespread accolades have trailed the defection of Chief Success Obioma Akagburuonye, the 2019 governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party, ADP, with his over 5,000 supporters across the 305 wards, to the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State.
Among those who hailed the defection of Mr. Akagburuonye include the State Commissioner of Environment, Hon Iyke Njoku, who dscribed his defection as a major political earthquake in the State.
Njoku spoke at the Restoration Campaign Secretariat of Akagburuonye, who was also unveiled as the State Patron of Onwa Grass-root Mobilizers For Good Governance.
Speaking on his move to the APC with his teeming supporters, Akagburuonye said he is keen to work with elected and appointed leaders of the party to ensure the transformation of the state and the nation at large
He said his coming to the party should not be seen as a threat by anyone.
He said “You have to heed to this advise or warning because records are there to tell you how God has been working and walking with me, if you pose any problem for me on my way to emancipate my people, God will handle you the way he handled others that fought me before you, all my supporters would be accommodated at various levels of governance for good governance, not politics “
He described Governor Hope Uzodinma, as an apostle of good governance considering the manner he emerged as Governor of Imo State as divine driven.He called for the support of all and sundry for the 3Rs mantra of the present government.
The Director General of Onwa Grass root Mobilizers For Good Governance, Aboh Mbaise Council chapter, Mazi Livinus Okoro noted that the group which has been in existence for more than seven years was set up to pursue and support the senatorial ambition of Senator Hope Uzodinma, but the scope and objective of the organization enlarged because of his emergence as Governor of Imo State.
The Newly inaugurated Chairman of the organization expressed gratitude to the state leadership of the group and promised to work assiduously in achieving their feat.
Hon. Emma Njoku, the Interim Management Committee (IMC), Chairman of Aboh Mbaise applauded the group for their efforts geared towards supporting the vision of the present government.
