As Primaries to elect candidates of  various political parties draws near  for the Okigwe Senatorial Bye Election, Sir Dom Ekeigwe, has advised the delegates of the various political parties on the need to vote for candidates who are patriotic and visionary on affairs concerning the Senatorial zone.

Sir Ekeigwe, who is the leader and Founder of Apostle of Change, a socio-cultural and political group, that is committed to visionary governance noted that Okigwe Senatorial zone is in dire need of  a Senator who will be patriotic and compassionate in quality and effective representation of the area.

He decried the level of infrastructural and developmental decay of the zone, which he attributed to the selfishness of the previous administrators and representatives of the Senatorial zone.

Ekeigwe who hails  from Umueleke in Ehime Mbano Council area of Imo State and was the 2019 House of Assembly candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) said  “Okigwe Senatorial  zone especially Ehime Mbano deserves quality representation that would transform and re-position the area in line with other advanced Senatorial zones in Nigeria

‘It’s unfortunate that up to now, the Senatorial zone is likened to a glorified village and only leaders who are passionate and patriotic can change the narratives and the time to guarantee a positive change is now” he insisted.

He also cautioned against money politics, saying that the senatorial zone is not for sale to the highest bidder,  noting it as the bane of the area in its efforts to ensure accelerated development and transformation.

The United States of America trained political icon who is also a social crusader, expressed disappointment on the deplorable state of roads as well as youths unemployment and called on Imo State Government on the need to give the Senatorial Zone. priority attention in terms of infrastructural development and empowerment.

Ekeigwe further applauded Governor Hope Uzodimma on his efforts in repositioning the state through his Shared Prosperity and 3R administrative mantra.
