Following their political realignment with Governor Hope Uzodinma, former allies of former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, are alleged to be seeking appointments in Uzodinma’s government.

This has raised concern that a reshuffle of Uzodinma’s cabinet is in the offing, to ‘acomodate’ former allies of Okorocha, who have pledged their loyalty to the Imo Governor.

This newspaper had reported that Uzodinma had made an audacious move recently to decimate the camp pf the former Governor by poaching his former allies.

On Tuesday, Okorocha’s ersthwhile henchmen such as former Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere, former Secretary to the State Government, George Eche, led other former political appointees in Okorocha’s government, to pass a vote of confidence on the Imo State Governor.

Madumere and Eche are the ring leaders of the former appointees who had grouse with their former boss and have now resolved to support Uzodinma for political survival.

At the moment, it is unclear if the Governor will reshuffle his cabinet to accommodate new interest so soon but a top level source in the present administration told this newspaper that “soon, the former appointees will be accommodated.

“In politics, nothing goes for nothing. For pledging their support openly, they have shown openly that they are with us and should support should be reciprocated”
