Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, was conspicuously absent, at Imo APC Caucus meeting, held at Government House, Owerri which was convened by the Imo APC State Chairman, Marcellinus Nlemigbo.

This is the second time the former Governor is staying away from APC related gathering held in the State.

The first was APC South East Stakeholders meeting which was attended by top party chieftains of the party in the South East.

No reasons were given for his absence, as Governor Hope Uzodinma took time to present his scorecard in office within seven months, to the caucus.

According to the Governor, he met a defaced State, with all roads begging for attention, sighting illegalities in road contracts awarded to contractors by the past administration.

He said the State was under threat from erosion and flood, but he in the long run succeeded to conclude the following roads:

  1. Douglas Road
  2. Oparanozie/Edede/Amaigbo street

3.Thomas Moore, JP Ajaelu & Gozie Nwachukwu

4.Assumpta-Owerri/Port Harcourt/Ibari Ogwa (4.5km dual carriageway, completed)

5.Archdeacon Dennis Road, Aladinma

6.Lake Nwaebere- Aladinma Ring Roads.

The Governor noted that the “State Civil service and pensions scheme was rot in corruption, begging for attention and sanitization”

He stated that his administration was able to save more than N1 billion naira after sanitizing the civil service and pensions system in the State.

Imo APC Chairman, Marcellinus Nlemigbo, urged party leaders to embrace one another and continue to give peace a chance to reign in Imo APC.
