The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has listed Frank Ibezim, as the All Progressive Congress, APC candidate for Okigwe senate bye election, this newspaper can reveal.
The bye election takes place on October 31st, 2020.
INEC listing of Ibezim’s name as APC candidate, has ended weeks of political upheaval in the ruling party in Imo State over Primary.
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume had claimed to be the party’s candidate.
With Ibezim listed as the candidate of the APC for the Okigwe senate bye election, the dust and controversy which arose after the primary has ended.
The electoral body also listed Emmanuel Okewulonu as candidate for the PDP for the Okigwe senate polls.
Charles Onyirimba was also named candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.
