Governor Hope Uzodinma may not be done yet in reshuffling his cabinet, a move sources within government circles said, is part of his plans to retool his 3R government to achieve greater efficiency and results.

The Governor had last week redeployed Hon.Kingsley Ononuju, from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to the less fancied Ministry of Special projects.

Also affected include Blyden Amajirionwu, who was also reassigned as SA, Market and Allied Matters.

Though the two government appointees were said to have engaged in fierce altercations, which formed the basis for their redeployments, the Governor is said to be “keen on moving his aides around for greater efficiency and results for his administration”

At a meeting with his appointees two weeks ago held at Government House Owerri, ,the Governor kicked against the attitude of some of his appointees who went beyond government circles and resorted to media war to settle their scores.

He said henceforth he will not tolerate such.

INNONEWS gathered that in recent times, Commissioners and SAs, in the present government had engaged in open altercations, a development analysts attributed to lack of clear designation of functions and portfolios among the appointees.

However, it was gathered that some of the appointees, who had been having quarrels with each other, have begun to reconcile such differences in line with the Governor’s directive.

This newspaper was told that there will be another round of reshuffling of appointees “from now to October”

“There will be a major reshuffling this time around. With the performance reports of the appointees before the Governor, that will play a major role to decide who stays, goes or who is being reassigned.

“There will be a major retooling of this government and this is to achieve greater efficiency of this administration” the source said.
