Six aspirants for Okigwe Senatorial seat look good to clinch the ticket of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The Party had cleared 11 aspirants to take part in the Party’s Primary which holds on September 3.
According to a chieftain of the party and former Senatorial aspirant, Prof Nnamdi Obiareri, he listed Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Chief Chikwem Onuoha, Rt Hon.Acho Ihim, Chidinma Uwajumuogu, Engr Frank Ibezim, Engr.Chief Mark Uchendu, and Senator Athan Achonu, as leading contenders.
He wrote ” Ahead of the APC Senatorial primaries, give it to the following men and women who have truly campaigned round the 6 LGAs and 64 INEC wards in Okigwe zone selling their aspiration to party members.
He however rated Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Hon.Chikwem Onuoha, and Rt Hon.Acho Ihim, among the first three likely to clinch the party ticket.
The APC holds Primary for its aspirants, September 3, 2020.
The exercise will be conducted by the Marcel Nlemigbo led Caretaker Committee, after the National Caretaker Committee led by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, gave the Commitee all clear to run the affairs of the party.
Another political analyst, Gideon Ukoha said Senator Araraume, whom he described as a “master of party primary” may be in a pole position to grab the ticket of yhe exercise is devoid of manipulations.
