- The Ohaneze Youth Council said the file will document details of information of victims of SARS assault

As the ongoing End SARS protest continues across the country, the Ohaneze Youth Council, has said it has opened what it described as “SARS Victims File” to collect details and verifiable information of those brutalized and assaulted by the now disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.
President of the Youth Council, Igboayaka Igboayaka in a statement signed by his media aide, Chukwuemea Chimerue in Abuja, stated that the file will document complaints of victims of extra judicial killings by the defunct SARS.
Igboayaka noted that the disbandment of SARS is not in anyway the measure of justice to its victims.
He stated that the disbandment of SARS the Inspector General of Police, without bringing to justice perpetrators of heinous crimes committed by SARS officials, is unacceptable to Nigerian youths, which is what they have resisted.
He called for the arrest and detention of SARS officers until they are fully investigated for alleged crimes they committed, stating that hundreds of youths arrested by SARS are no where to be found.
He spoke against the activities of SARS department in Awkuzu, Anambra State, maintaing that there is a lamentation for social justice in Nigeria, stressing that many families in the country have in one way or the other fallen victims of SARS brutality especially those in the Eastern part of the country.
He advised Nigerians victimized by the defunct SARS to come forward with details of their victimization to Ohaneze Youth Council, OYC, for immediate action, vowing to institute legal action against SARS officers found culpable.
