Police To Enforce Curfew In Imo

  • The Command said it will enforce the curfew imposed in the State by the State Governor

The Imo State Police Command, Owerri has said it will embark on total enforcement of curfew in the State imposed by the state government.

The command in a statement by SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando,Police Public Relations officer, said the “command has observed with utmost dismay at the way what started as a peaceful demonstration was hijacked resulting to wanton destruction of lives and properties especially as it affects security agencies with few attacks on police stations.

“In view of the above, the command warns all members to strictly adhere to the curfew as the command in collaboration with other security agencies in the State is determined to ensure enforcement of the government’s executives order

“Parents/Guardians are hereby advised to war their children/wards not to allow themselves to be used to forment trouble, as any one caught will be made to face the wrath of the law.

“Members of the public are advised to stay calm as the Command is doing everything possible to ensure that normalcy is returned as soon as possible” the statement stated.
