Imo Judicial Commission Of Inquiry On Police Brutality Holds Inaugural Sitting Nov 3

The Imo State Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Police brutality, and related extra judicial killings will hold its inaugural sitting on Tuesday, 3rd November, 2020

A release by the Commission  signed by I.A  Oguzie Npom, FCAI, stated that the sitting will take place at Old Chief judge’s court, old High Court premises, Orlu road, Owerri.

Some of the terms of reference of the Commission include  “receive and evaluate complaints of police brutality and related extra judicial killings, determine police officers who were responsible for the brutality, among others

It also stated that “interested members of the public who wish to make oral submissions may do so in person or through counsel of choice”
