The last may not have been heard on the All Progressive Congress, APC senatorial ticket for Okigwe senatorial election.
Despite the party’s recognition of Mr. Frank Ibezim as candidate of the party for the October 31 polls, a Federal High Court, sitting in Owerri has reserved judgment on October 27 on a suit filed by Senator Ifeanyi Araraume.
Araraume is challenging the declaration of Ibezim as the APC candidate for the Okigwe senate election.
The court after proceedings on Friday, October 16 adopted briefs of counsels in the matter and reserved October 27 for judgment.
The APC Okigwe senate primary had generated controversy as parallel primaries were held. In the end, the national leadership of the party recognized and forwarded the name of Frank Ibezim, to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, as authentic candidate of the party for the Okigwe senate election.
